Discover the forefront of interdisciplinary population research at the inaugural Zurich Population Research Conference 2025, hosted by the University of Zurich’s Population Research Center (UZH PRC). Our mission is to advance research excellence in population studies by bringing together international experts from diverse disciplines, including Psychology, Medicine, Social Sciences and others.

Conference Themes: Interdisciplinary and Integrative Approaches to Health, School-Aged Children and Adolescents, Migration, Digital Participation, Innovative Methods, and other topics.

Keynote Speakers

• Melinda Mills (Nuffield College, University of Oxford)
• Emilio Zagheni (Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research)

Format: Experience two informative days at the University of Zurich's City Campus historic auditorium with up to 100 participants. Delve into keynote speeches, plenary sessions, thematic panels, and additional platforms for interdisciplinary networking, exchange, and in-depth engagement with cutting-edge research.

Timeline

• May 15, 2024: The call for submissions opens.
• July 12, 2024: The call for submissions closes.
• August 23, 2024: Decisions are sent out.
• August 23, 2024: Registration opens.
• December 18, 2024: Registration closes.

The conference fee is CHF 100 (CHF 50 for students), which includes access to all sessions, coffee and lunch breaks, as well as the conference dinner.

PRC Scholarships: The UZH PRC offers 10 scholarships that cover travel and hotel costs for PhD students or Postdocs (priority will be given to participants from low- and middle-income countries).
