Zurich Population Research Conference 2025
The first Zurich Population Research Conference took place on January 20–21, 2025, bringing together over 150 participants to present, discuss, and exchange insights on population research. The conference centered around the theme: Uniting Population Research Across Disciplines: Novel Approaches, Innovative Strategies, and Mutual Learning.
Conference Highlights:
- The conference opened with a welcome address by Prof. Elisabeth Stark (Vice President Research, University of Zürich), followed by keynote speeches from Melinda Mills (Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science & Nuffield College, University of Oxford) and Emilio Zagheni (Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research).
- Over 60 presentations across multiple sessions explored various aspects of interdisciplinary population-based research.
- PRC Best Presentation Awards: Congratulations to our three award winners: Valentin Jaki Waibl (Swiss TPH), Daniela Foresta (Sapienza, University of Rome), and Andreas Baumer (University of Zürich)
